TETRA DIY PART KIT |

TETRA is a high-end DIY monitor loudspeaker. To be able to sell the speakers to the lowest possible price the speaker is introduced as a Do-It-Yourself loudspeaker part kit package which includes all parts, but you must do the cabinet yourself. The REALITY TETRA speaker consist of four symmetrical triangle plates which is 38cm - 38cm - 38cm = 15" - 15" - 15". The units are time-aligned and the cabinet is free of standing waves. The TETRA speakers can be positioned on stands, wall or furniture's. It can be used as front, rear or center speaker to surround, but please note, that the units are not shielded. In case of one speaker are going to be used as Center speaker near a TV receiver an extra magnet should be glued on the rear side (opposite poles). It will solve the shielding problem. Please specify that when purchasing order. The DIY Part Kit package consist of:
Woodwork You will receive a draving of the cabinet: 
Cut out the four plates yourself. The four plates must be glued together to each cabinet. Afterwards you must make the corners / edges as you like. The last to do is to paint or make the finish as you like. Crossover A minimalist design is used. It is a phase corerent crossover all over. The crossover point is 3,2kHz. The crossover is hardwired (not possible to use PCB when using foil coils - hardwiring is very good too). This means you must be able to read the diagram and to solder components.
